Biography
One of founders and the co-owner of TV channel Dozhd. Thrice winner of the TEFI award, winner of the awards Golden Beam, Television Triumph, Golden Plume. Since 1997 works at television, and is producer and director on television channels NTV and Dozhd, was creative producer of TV channel 24 Doc..In 2011, with A. Vasiliev, D. Bykov and M. Efremov, started on channel Dozhd the project “Poet and Citizen” (later “Citizen Poet”).

After the father’s death, the daughter of one of the forefathers of modern Russian democracy, Ksenia Sobchak, tries to understand the 18 years of his political fate. Together with the director Vera Krichevskaya she gives the word to Anatoli Sobchak’s colleagues and opponents, gets acquainted with the criminal case which annulled his career, and tries to find an answer to the question what Anatoly Sobchak’s fate would be in today’s Russia.
The Case
A documentary about Boris Nemtsov, a prominent figure of Russian political opposition and an outspoken critic of Vladimir Putin. Nemtsov was murdered in Moscow in February of 2015.

Against the backdrop of geopolitical tensions between Putin’s Russia and the USA and the outbreak of war in Ukraine, the film captures the closing scenes of a life and a time of peace. Zimin’s story is an embodiment of the harsh historical cycles that have defined Russia over the past century.
