Yung (Ng Cho-fan) is an upper-class kid who has fallen from grace. He forms a warped relationship with a rich widow (Pak Yin), only to meet again his wife (Siu Yin Fei) with whom he’s lost touch during the war. The fateful affair eventually opens up a Pandora’s box, turning jealousy, betrayal and selfishness into fatal outcomes.

On a stormy night, a rich man is murdered, doused in acid and dumped at sea. Luckily, the young wife of the rich man is helped by an old knight-errant who has been in hiding for many years to track down the murderer. It turns out that the murderer is a longtime friend of the rich man, and he has killed him because of his greed.

This movie depicts a pair of lovers, who were denied freedom of marriage during their lives, and after their deaths, they are transformed into mischievous ghosts. With their strange and unpredictable powers, they are able to frighten all the characters in the play. The bridegroom, the policeman, the dancers, etc., are all frightened by the ghosts. The only one who is lucky enough to meet them is Charlie, who makes a lot of jokes.
