¡Vivan los niños! is a Mexican telenovela for children that premiered in 2002. It ran for 155 episodes and finished in 2003. The opening, Vivan los niños, was recorded by the Latin pop group OV7. One of its closing themes, also entitled Vivan los niños, was performed by Cuban-American singer and songwriter Ana Cristina. The show is a version of the Argentinian telenovela "Jacinta Pichimahuida, la maestra que no se olvida". The series starred Andrea Legarreta as 2nd grade teacher Lupita Gómez. After the series ended, Andrea became the long-time host of the morning talk show Hoy. On July 12, 2012, in celebration of Andrea's birthday, the producers of Hoy reunited her with the young actors who played her students on the series.
Fabiola's parents are killed in a plane crash leaving her and her younger sister, Andrea, orphans. Their parents estate is divided equally among the girls. But at the reading of the will, the family is surprised to learn of the existence of a life insurance policy for one million dollars. They're even more surprised when they learn who the sole beneficiary of that policy is. While the family squabbles over what to do about the policy, Fabiola decides she's going to take over the administration of her family's business: a successful garage, where she finds more than she bargained for when she meets a mechanic named Ramon who just happens to be the son of her long-time nanny, Juana. It is based on the Venezuelan telenovela written by Doris Seguí, "Tomasa Tequiero" produced in 2009.
Camila Flores is a sweet peasant who lost her parents very early. Its creation was in charge of his grandfather Genaro. He is a great rooster breeder, but he is very poor. Genaro's biggest fear is that Camila will one day abandon him and that she will not be happy. One day, Camila meets lawyer Miguel Gutiérrez, he came from the capital, and as soon as he sees Camila he is impressed by her beauty. He asks the girl's grandfather for permission so he can visit her. Genaro thinks that Miguel will soon forget his granddaughter so he lets Miguel see her. Before long, Camila and Miguel fall in love, which is why he asks for the girl's hand in marriage. Genaro, even against his will, allows Camila to get married.
The story is set at a prestigious, but rigid and repressive school called Instituto Vidal. Its strict owner, Julia Vidal, was once kind but has now turned into a bitter woman following the death of her husband and her daughter, Lauriel. Her granddaughter, Ana, a very sweet and intelligent 10 year old, also has been affected by the death: She has been rendered virtually speechless by the trauma, though she expresses herself through music and possesses an extraordinary ability to move objects with her mind. Ana's unscrupulous father, Francisco Capistrán, however, has taken advantage of the situation to try to steal Julia's school. The timely arrival of Ana's uncle, Salvador, Amanda and her adopted son changes everything. Ana’s sad and lonely life takes an unexpected turn for the better and she regains her joy in a series of adventures bursting with humor, excitement, music and thrilling surprises.

In his new role, Ernesto falls in love with a young woman, but unfortunately he cannot tell her the truth or what he feels until the culprit is caught.
