1975, Swiss Alps: In a remote mountain village, a beautiful and mysterious woman shows up. Only the village policeman takes care of the strange woman and tries to find out who she is. There are hints that she came from the Höhenalp Alp, where herdsmen do unthinkable things to get the company of women. Many dark truths are revealed that should better have remained hidden. A tragedy of lust, insanity and murder is brought to a seemlingly pure and perfect world. It is the beginning of a nightmare of religious insanity, hypocrisy, abuse and belief in demons, who destroys a young family and brings a whole village to destruction.

A group of normal 14-year-old teenagers at a secondary school in Zürich with the normal yearnings for love and acceptance. But the power of social media, with its high-gloss selfies and perpetual pressure towards cooler and sexier, increasingly forces the kids to deny their true feelings. So a tragedy runs its course, one in which it is almost impossible to differentiate between perpetrator and victim, guilt and innocence.

The young Orthodox Jew, Motti Wolkenbruch, finds himself at a turning point. His beloved mother wants him to get married and presents one marriage candidate after the other. Unfortunately none of the woman pleases him, because they all look just like her. The situation gets even more complicated, when Motti secretly falls in love with the non-Jewish girl Laura, a so-called Shiksa.

11-year-old Pola and her best friend Polly spend all their time at the local outdoor pool, Plitsch Platsch, where Polly's parents run a café. When the pool is closed due to budget cuts and Polly's family moves away, Pola suddenly finds herself alone. Refusing to give up, she teams up with her clever new classmate Rosalie to try to save the pool. Together, they start a petition and rally with the local children. Along the way, Pola discovers new friendships and learns that change is a part of growing up.

Three respectable citizens of a Swiss winter sports resort find themselves in financial trouble due to a lack of snow. When Paul, René, and Werner find the plan for the perfect bank robbery at the home of their deceased curling friend Heinz, they are willing to take the risk after some initial hesitation. Preparations are in full swing. They didn't expect their love lives to be completely turned upside down in the process. Finally, the three men manage to break into the bank... The surprise is great when the vault door opens!

In 2011 the young married Swiss couple Daniela Widmer and David Och got kidnapped while being on a long trip along the old Silk Road in Pakistan. They were hand over to the Taliban and were held as hostages for 8 months under the most precarious conditions.

A single mother of three children lives a chaotic and not very wealthy life in which her oldest daughter tries to manage everything and wants to find a decent guy for her mum.

The film tells the story of three very different people and their struggle to find the courage in every-day life: a teen drummer leaves his parents house after an intense fight with his dad, a female steel worker has to stand up for herself in front of her co-workers on the day that she realizes she's pregnant, and a 5-year old girl has to overcome her fears on the first day of school.

A generation portrait in which we follow the lives of five international economy students from their studies at the University of St. Gallen over the course of five years: during their academic education, in their private lives and the first years of their professional careers.
