Biography
Born on January 20, 1993 in São Paulo (Brazil), Davi Mello is a filmmaker, professor and researcher in Cinema and Audiovisual. He is a PhD candidate in Education, Art and Cultural History and has a Master in Communication Studies. As a director and screenwriter, he has award-winning short films, which were screened in more than 150 film festivals, including selections at Rio Film Festival, Sao Paulo International Short Film Festival, Bogoshorts (Colombia), Fest New Directors | New Films (Portugal), Fantaspoa (Best Brazilian Short in 2020), Macabro: Mexico City International Horror Film Festival (Mexico), Izmir International Short Film Festival (Turkey), Festival Internacional de Jóvenes Realizadores de Granada (Spain), among others.
