Nevertheless, Wollni manages to motivate the villagers and get the LPG going. Grimmberger, however, ruins himself by going it alone. When his daughter Helga also wants to leave him and study in the city, he realizes his mistake. Grimmberger and Wollni reconcile at the village festival.

A murder in a winter sports hotel jolts Inspector Eyck out of his cozy, relaxed holiday mood. He rushes to the scene, where he encounters crime writer Gorgas, who, as he says, conducts "crime scene studies." But this case isn't fiction, because a dead man lies on the ground. However, Klaus overhears one of Klott's conversations and learns that Klott intends for the boys to steal horses from the East Berlin Barlay Circus, where Klaus recently made some good friends. Indignant, he sets out to stop the robbery—and an adventurous action story results.

Brothers Grimm adaptation. The story follows Hans, who, after seven years of service, is rewarded with a large lump of gold. As he travels home, he trades the gold for a horse, the horse for a cow, then a pig, a goose, and finally a grindstone. Despite losing the immense value of his initial payment, Hans feels increasingly free and happy, ultimately dropping the heavy stone into a well and rejoicing in having no burdens.
