Zohair, a 14 year old refugee from Afghanistan, finds himself trapped in legal limbo in Greece. While wandering around Athens, he recollects his hometown. His life gradually brightens through the work in an old sawmill and his relationship with an old carpenter and his son.
Summer in Athens. Nikos is a musician with no future who takes care of a villa while the wealthy owner is out. With nothing to do, Nikos decides to invite his ex-girlfriend Sofia over and force her to tell him why they broke up a year earlier.
Going off on an inner quest to Tinos island in the Cyclades, the filmmaker attempts to define herself and her position in the world. She keeps shifting between two gardens and two father figures, while trying to deal with a personal loss, the defeat of a social movement, and a cinematic failure. What remains reads like a letter to the ever-missing father.

A reflection on the predicament of confinement within the domestic environment, stemming from found correspondence of a woman, dating between 1975 and 1980. Through shared points of reference and the embodiment of the above-mentioned state, the process of this work became an intergenerational dialogue with the stranger character. However, in Arrival, the narrative departs from the archived and imagines rather than a state of paralysis, the discontinuation of a cycle. Upon the character’s decision to leave her home and embark on a journey to an archipelago nearby, the island of her destination sucks her in as she merges into the wind.
