La que se avecina is a Spanish television comedy created by Alberto Caballero, Laura Caballero and Daniel Deorador. The TV-series focusing around the inhabitants of Mirador de Montepinar, a fictional building located on the outskirts of a big city. Both its storylines and cast are heavily based on Aquí no hay quien viva, which ended when Telecinco bought Miramón Mendi, the series production company. The episodes debuted on the Telecinco network, and were later rerun by the same network as well as cable/satellite channels FactoríaDeFicción and Paramount Comedy. The series debuted in 22 April 2007 and became popular thanks to its funny characters, witty script, use of catchphrases and capacity to integrate and poke fun at contemporary issues; the program presents a caustic satire of many of the 'types' found in Spanish society. The name of the show involves wordplay, as "vecina" is the Spanish word for neighbour.

In the 1920s Victoria and Ángel fall in love in a small town, northern Spain. They are two people both from a different social class, she is the daughter of a wealthy businessman and he comes from a poor family. They are so in love but social norms and circumstances of the era force them to break up. Several years later, they meet again, Victoria as a powerful businesswoman and Ángel as a priest.

When high school teacher Tomás finds the bloodied, dying mayoress of his hometown high up on his local cliffs, he not only becomes obsessed with the case but turns into its first suspect. Though solving the case is local cop Maite's job, Tomás doesn't care if his own private investigation gets in her way. Solving the case might just give Tomás' life the purpose he has been silently dreaming of for so long. Though clashing more than once, the two of them come close as can be to finding the murderer: Norma, Tomas' very own physiotherapist. She killed the mayoress in a fit of rage after finding out one of her many dark secrets - one that lies many years behind but one that has deeply affected her and her family. A twist of fate has it, however, that Norma remains undiscovered; her former fear and powerlessness turn to empowerment and confidence. Then a second murder stirs up the waters. Now an unlikely team, Maite and Tomás resume the hunt for a murderer who is closer than they imagine.

Paris, in the early 1960s. Finished the Spanish Civil War in April 1939, in November 1940, while Spain is being crushed by the ruthless boot of dictator Franco, Pepita travels from rural Córdoba to Madrid to be near her sister Hortensia, who is seven months pregnant and imprisoned, haunted by the shadow of a death sentence.

The planet is facing a great threat. During the worst drought ever known, a group of wrongdoers are in the process of finishing all the reserves of water that remain on Earth. Based on real events, in 1972 Juan and José are two textile workers from Tarrasa, Catalonia (northeast to Spain) who meet during an UFOs' convention. Both share their passion about the paranormal, specially about UFOs. In these years where was very much UFOs' sightings, they feel captivated by the mystery and start to investigate the diverse theories about the intentions or purposes of the sightings. Their friendship and the obsession they have will turn in dementia and paranoia, hurting their relations with their respective friends and familiars and exposing their lives to an extreme decision due to the conclusion of their own investigations. "Escuela de seducción" is an acceptable comedy which deals, for the umpteenth time, with the war of the sexes using misunderstandings and fake personalities as dramatic resources. The premise is by no means original, but this is something most films lack nowadays, and therefore the result could have been more than acceptable.

Two clumsy policemen, Kiko and Castro find during a routine patrol in the forest a dead body without feet and head. After several inquiries, they discover that it belongs to a prominent member of the union, frowned upon by the officers. To solve the case they choose Elias, an agent with little experience who will investigate the case with the help of Conda, the medical examiner, and the clumsy agents that discovered the body.
