On August 4th, Helloween took their "Pumpkins United World Tour" to the twenty-ninth edition of the world's largest heavy metal festival, Wacken Open Air, and performed one of the biggest and most important shows in the band's history.

The reunited expanded classic lineup of German power metallers HELLOWEEN will release a new live album, "Live At Budokan". The colossal effort immortalizes HELLOWEEN's September 16, 2023 performance at Tokyo's legendary Nippon Budokan. The shows celebrated the greatest hits from three decades and offered a breakneck trip through time and the entire HELLOWEEN repertoire – including songs, the band hadn’t played live for a very long time, or even never before. The recordings took place during the band's Pumpkins United World Tour (2017–2018), with former members Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen joining Helloween's line-up. The main concert was recorded on 9 December 2017 in Madrid, Spain and the bonus tracks in Chile, Brazil, Czech Republic and Germany. Extra material includes a band interview, as well as LED content and animations shown during the shows.

Following the release of the 'XXX Three Decades of Metal' album, celebrating his being in music for 30 years, world famous guitarist Kai Hansen, with the help of his friends, played an exclusive show at the Wacken Open Air festival on August 5th, 2016.
