The story of this series is set in contemporary history and in three phases: childhood, adolescence, and youth. A boy is abandoned as a baby because his father did not want him to be born and decides to sell him for his gambling to make money. One night, after a few months, he comes home and finds the child. He has a fight with his wife and the mother and child leave the house. The mother places the child in an orphanage, where they name the child Javad Javadi, and the story of Javad's life is narrated from there.

Vacillating between dream and reality, each story builds on the one before and leads into the next. Each destiny is influenced by the other one on board, and all hurtle to the same destination.
