Biography
Néstor Rigoberto Gaffet (1928-1982) was an Argentine film producer, lawyer and distributor. He fought restlessly against Argentina's censorship during the multiple dictatorships that terrorized its country throughout the second half of the 20th century. He produced several films for Leopoldo Torre Nilsson, a renowned film director who also advocated for the defense of free speech in cinema, and helped him achieve global fame. Gaffet also distributed international vanguard films inside the country, always having to deal with censors.
