Jorge is a peaceful hard-working man who seeks a simple, quiet life for himself and his family. One day, he is mugged and humiliated by a gang of thugs led by Kalule, a delinquent from his neighborhood. This event infuriates his son as much for Jorge’s meek acceptance as for the act itself. The son, looking for retribution, ends up getting himself shot. Kalule is sent to jail and when he gets out 18 months later, begins a campaign of terror against Jorge and his family. The authorities do nothing, so Jorge decides to take matters into his own hands.

Daniel and Alejandra, a working class couple in their late 30s, move to the countryside near the Andes Mountains to begin the next chapter of their life together. He cleans the ditch; she sells home-made cheese. After a long day it starts raining again. They sit in silence by the open hearth, waiting for the rain to stop.
Along Came the Rain

It is summer in the Andes and Nekul, an indigenous boy, and his father Jorge are looking for work. His mother is sick. One day, while returning home, drunk Jorge fights with Nekul and then disappears, Nekul meets Pedro, who talks about a witch-doctor, who lives in the city and can cure his mother. Nekul decides to begin a trip to the city, a place he will never come back from.

Santiago 1984. Carmen, former JJCC, after being tortured by the CNI, works as an undercover agent. Francisco, an agent obsessed with her, infiltrates her in an advertising production company, meets Gastón, creative director. He discovers that he is planning a commercial in the mountains as part of an escape operation for a political prisoner. Carmen manipulates both of them, lying to Francisco and approaching Gastón, in order to join the operation and thus achieve her own escape.
