Roberto Hurtado suffers from a rare disease that requires massive transfusions of blood from children or adolescents. His son blackmails three employees to get blood for him and they resort to unscrupulous methods to obtain it.

Ángel Romero, a child separated from his mother after the earthquake in Mexico City, believes that the only way to reunite with her is to contact the pope. To achieve this, he embarks on a journey to Colombia, where he will rely on the help of an unemployed woman and other unexpected allies.
