Gepetto is a wooden doll maker who longs to have a child. The Blue Fairy magically transforms one his dolls, Pinokio into life. Gepetto raises him as his own son. Pinokio grows to be a naughty boy, so the Blue Fairy assigns Jimmy, the Cricket, to supervise him. Pinokio goes through several adventures: being transformed into a donkey because of his mischief, and saving his father from inside a whale.

Budi, an autistic person, and his family come to Jakarta to try their luck. He tries to keep his promise to buy new clothes for his children, Ratih and Iyan, if they are able to fast for a full month during Ramadan. Fate speaks another. The bicycle used to go around selling ornamental fish was hit by a car carrying a rich man. As Eid was approaching, Iyan suddenly fell down with dengue fever and had to be treated at a health foundation. Budi still believes he can keep his promise. Budi got a job as a construction worker tens of kilometers from his house. When he returned to the health foundation to pick up his wife and children and at the same time complete the payment.

Tony loves singer Vina and helps financially support her even though she's already in a relationship. However, his jealousy eventually ends up getting the better of him and he accidentally causes Vina to crash her car and die. Her vengeful spirit later returns.

Ira is the daughter of Pendi, a widowed pilot. She is lonely because her father travels often. This situation changes when Pendi meets the wife of his friend, a widow named Melani. After a while, Pendi and Melani get married. But the children of Melani do not like Ira. Finally, the conflict with the children is solved through a theatrical play by Ira, as the play’s story reflects the events that are happening in their home.

Six-year-old Lala has a masculine nature, as her father, Anton Wijaya, who wanted a boy. Mrs. Anton is extremely worried about her youngest child’s attitude and requests the help of child psychologist, Kak Seto. Lala’s unruly behavior often complicates everything. She even manages to put the relationship between Kak Seto and his girlfriend in jeopardy. Dina, Lala’s sister, admires Kak Seto who can be gentle with children. And when Dina is disappointed with Kak Seto, this triggers Anton Wijaya’s anger. He thinks that Kak Seto wants to ruin his family. Then Bujel, with his devil-may-care unconventional attitude, arrives to bring their problem into focus. This is the point when Lala’s problem can be solved. The film presents a nicely handled child psychology problem while criticising the psychologists at the same time.

Surya, a retired ship captain and a widower with five children, has trouble with disciplining his kids. So he invites a private teacher to educate and guide his children. Several teachers try and fail. Eventually, a young teacher, Utari, is able to conquer them slowly. One day the children disturb Surya’s future wife. She suspects that Utari is behind it all, so she is fired. Utari goes home, heartbroken. The children are gloomy and the youngest one gets sick. Surya approaches the teacher to work again for them. Utari refuses. Only when the children approach her does she relent and return to Surya’s house.

Ira Maya lives with her grandfather, Ateng, in a village. Their relationship is so close that they are inseparable. One day, Ira falls from her bike and is hurt. When she doesn’t recover, they find out that Ira has cancer. Her leg has to be amputated, and Ateng suffers for Ira’s misfortune.
