Biography
Alam Rengga Rasiwan Kobar Surawidjaja (December 24, 1924 – May 12, 1980) was an Indonesian actor and director from the 1950s to 1980. Alam was also the main actor in the film "Si Djimat". Alam made the film "Janur Kuning" which tells about Indonesia's struggle for independence in regaining its independence which was retaken by the allied forces. In his film, actor Amak Baldjun was nominated as the best supporting actor at the Indonesian Film Festival.
Known For

A man is murdered, his wife is kidnapped and their young son is thrown into a ravine. The child grows up with a deformity and is known around the village as Si Bongkok ("The Hunchback"). After receiving martial arts training, he seeks revenge on the man who killed his father.
The Hunchback

After being pregnant for the third time, Shinta has to undergo another operation. After this, Shinta becomes frigid. Norman, her husband, then finds himself a girlfriend, Yulia, a colleague. Shinta divorces him and she leaves with her two children to brave Jakarta’s city life. Norman then comes to his senses and tries to look for his wife and children. He manages to find her in a very poor and weak condition before she dies.
Istriku Sayang Istriku Malang

Linda gives birth to an illegitimate child from a relationship with her boyfriend, Alex, who dies in an accident. To avoid a scandal, her father asks his younger sibling to take the baby to Cirebon. Linda is then told that the baby is dead. The baby, Yatim, is treated badly by the caregiver. The caregiver steals the money sent by Linda’s father to support the baby, so Linda’s father gets angry when more money is demanded. Linda overhears the conversation and is told the truth. So Linda goes to Cirebon to pick up her child but Yatim has already run away to Jakarta to look for her. He is aimless and homeless, and becomes a shoe polisher. A children’s toy seller hears a radio broadcast looking for the missing child and advises Yatim to go meet his parent. Yatim refuses, and instead gets hit by a car. Finally, they are reunited at the hospital.
Where Are You, Mother?

Oni is an orphan who is born blind. She is adopted by a cart puller. Despite of his blindness, Oni can cure diseases. So when her adopting parent dies, someone else takes care of her. But ever since her village is pillaged Oni lives on as a wanderer.
Blind Virgin
On the trail to catch the killer of his brother, Achmad easily defeats a bandit who challenges him. This impresses Citra, a child, who since then follows Achmad wherever he goes. When they come to a village threatened by robbers, Achmad stops and tries to solve the problem. One of the tough guys of the village, Wirya, notices Achmad and is impressed by him and Achmad’s religious devotion. He becomes friends with Achmad and asks him to agree to his condition not to bother Aisah, a village girl, who is actually in love with Achmad. Then the robbers launch a major attack, which Achmad repels. From the defeated chief, Achmad finds out that Wirya is the killer of his brother. Wirya admits killing Achmad’s brother, for committing crime and adultery.
Menjusuri Djedjak Berdarah

In a university campus, most of the rich kids are driving sedans, except for the lovely Narti, who rides a rickshaw. Iwan, a friendly and sympathetic guy, rides his motorcycle, and they soon develop an intimate and playful relationship. There are also others such as the shy Hendro, and the disheveled and free-spirited Tari. The drama concerns some conflict between Iwan and his father, and also Narti’s parents’ attitude toward Iwan. The film highlights the young social life on campus and the appeal is in the fresh dialogue, which is sometimes critical.
Akibat Godaan

Shot in dark colours and with an atmospheric treatment, the narrative is sketchy but the plot revolves around Koswara, a driver for Kardiman. Koswara’s brothers and sisters-in-law trade his wife, Aisah, to Kardiman, until his wife goes insane and dies. Agus Herman, son of Kardiman, is as brutal as his father and Mrs. Kardiman, also has an impure background. Her daughter, Nana, who is born without knowledge of her biological father, is almost raped by her stepfather, Kardiman. It is also suggested that Mrs. Kardiman desires Koswara. An experiment from Indonesian directing legend, Teguh Karya, that was not entirely successful.

Christina has to deal with a corrupt bank president father, a cutthroat and backstabbing sister, an unfaithful lover and a gigolo plotting to rob the father's office.

Rano (Rano Karno) was separated and lost his father at Jatinegara Station in Jakarta when he got off the train. Luckily, he met a kind-hearted fryer. Amin (Benyamin S), who then took him home.
Si Rano
Abdul Kadir Zailani, an expert thief, gets out of jail and starts stealing again. He steals Vera’s bag as she is returning from shopping. Zailani spends the money, and then, out of cheeky curiosity, returns the bag to Vera, who is a daughter of the famous lawyer, RM Kertodimejo. Hence, Zailani is offered a job as a driver. Soon love grows between Vera and Zailani. But Vera is already arranged to marry Hendro who is still studying in London and her respectable parents of course disapprove, so Zailani is fired. Vera becomes very ill as a result and Kertodimejo’s heart relents. Zailani, who has become a bus driver in Medan, is asked to return to Jakarta.
Pencopet

A psycho starts killing women (including a striptease dancer) and raping their corpses. When that doesn't work out for him, he digs up graves and has his way with the bodies. Police attempt to trap the corpse rapist by baiting him with a beautiful policewoman.
Corpse Hunter

Set on 24 March 1946 in Bandung, when the city was engulfed in explosions as if it was a sea of fire, the battle scenes between Indonesian and Dutch dominate the film. The main plot line is the conflict of Nani, a Red Cross nurse, who loves Priyatna, an ex PETA fighter. Meanwhile, Hidayat, the commander of Priyatna’s troop, also likes Nani. It is a small story, within a war, that ends with the death of Hidayat.

First Love

Amidst the election rivalry of two villages for the village head post, Cigugur and Cijulang, a troupe of Ronggeng artists, with its prima donna, Sari, arrives at the sub-district center for their regular performance. Sari and Dadang, the son of the Village Elder of Cijulang, are in love with each other. Dadang is also running as a candidate in the village head elections. But Ohim, the son of the Cigugur Village Elder, is also madly in love with Sari. He gets even more daring after a humiliating incident when he tries to touch Sari’s hair bun on the ronggeng stage. The touching of the hair bun is one of the rituals in the traditional art of Ronggeng. Dadang’s father is angered by his son’s relationship with Sari, since it could jeopardize his candidacy as the head of the village.
