The residents of a dormitory led by Bu Siti each have their own personal issues. Tari, a dance student, falls in love with a man old enough to be her father. Rahimah, a medical student, is about to be forced into marriage in her village but is rescued by Nasrul. Maria, a flight attendant, gets entangled in a love quadrangle. She is loved by Imansyah, a co-pilot, but Maria is more attracted to Broto, a wealthy merchant. However, Broto himself is more interested in Sita, a dance instructor. Additionally, two teenagers, Ani and Ina, are placed under Bu Siti's care because their parents are preoccupied with politics. All these problems are resolved in a comedic manner.

Vera becomes very ill as a result and Kertodimejo’s heart relents. Zailani, who has become a bus driver in Medan, is asked to return to Jakarta.
Pencopet

Because she violated the doctor’s order to not get pregnant again, Yuwono’s wife finally dies while she is pregnant with her third child. Yuwono then marries an office staff, Ningsih. Harun, another co-worker who also loves Ningsih, tries to destroy Yuwono by tampering with the office’s financial report so that Yuwono is arrested and is investigated. Harun then influences Ningsih, regarding her standing as a stepmother, so that Yuwono’s house is taken over and the stepchildren, Netty and Susy, are treated harshly. The two children run away from home, looking for their father, and are separated for a time. When Yuwono is proven innocent and is released, he does not find his children at home and goes around Jakarta to look for them. He finally finds them again.

The Struggle
Tabung realises that he must free his fellow villagers from the extortion by loan sharks, Jontro and Sadar. But Tabung, is a cripple, so he gets the help of the Farmer and Fisherman Cooperative Bank. He commutes to the city to handle the villager's credit, and is supported by his neighbour, a war widow. He expects Mardi's assistance, but Mardi is afraid to help for fear of losing his girlfriend, Narsih, who is actually Jontro's daughter. Finally, Tabung establishes the cooperative and the villagers gain the courage to fight off Jontro. Jontro now loses his livelihood so he begins to extort from Mardi, whose parents owe him money. Then Mardi comes to his senses. So does Jontro's right hand, Sadar. In the end, Sadar and Jontro have a face-off, and both are killed in the brawl.
Lembah Hidjau
Nanang’s father leaves to study abroad thus Nanang and his mother live with his grandfather. Nanang is often teased by children of his age, so he prefers to play with his aunt, Lilis, who wants to be a singer. Grandfather does not approve of this, and gets angry when he finds out that Lilis will have a recording on national radio. Lilis is forbidden to sing again. But when grandfather listens to Lilis’ song on the radio, he is touched. When Nanang’s father returns, his friends stop teasing him.
