1956. Stefan Madejski, a former KBW lieutenant, is released from prison and rehabilitated. Ten years ago he fought against the gangs, but his brutal and ruthless methods aroused opposition. Because he let go of a band member, his former AK unit colleague, he was brought before a military court and sentenced to fifteen years. Now he is trying to find the people who put him in prison. These encounters give him nothing but bitterness.

Wacław Kaczmarski has been breeding pigeons for many years, which is a family tradition (his grandfather and father bred pigeons before him). The birds are an important part of his life; he spends every free moment with them, and they are his escape from everyday worries. Kaczmarski and his family live in Targówek in old apartments that are scheduled for demolition. He gets a new apartment in Ursynów, where he immediately installs pigeon boxes on the balcony. The neighbors are outraged.

WWII. Joined forces of Polish and Russian partisans (despite they are in conflict) stand against German Sturmwind I & II actions.

In the first months after the war, a period of confusion and fratricidal fighting, a Warsaw whack-job drafted into the ranks of the KBW gains the first life experiences that make him an informed citizen. Marian, a boy from Targówek, is serving in the KBW. His unit is sent to a village plagued by a band of NSZ. Marian becomes involved with a young teacher, Anka, whose brother is a member of the NSZ. During the final trial, Stefan is killed and Marian is seriously wounded and taken to the hospital. An investigation is carried out in the village. Marian does not admit that he knew about Stefan and his contacts with his sister. When he leaves the hospital, he does not find the girl, but their son, who is being cared for by Anka's parents. He takes the boy and returns to Targowek.

Small Polish village straight after WWII. Young man Zenek injured and awarded with Cross of Valour during partisan fight is torn between staying loyal to his partisan comrades (continuing their fight) and his own beliefs.

A few hours before the official visit of the communist party representative, the management of the visited factory learns about it. Everything must be prepared to show the guest how well the place is being managed.

After an accident in a smelter plant kills two workers a crane operator decides to take full responsibility.

A sequel to the 1984 anti-Solidarity film Dignity. The film is set at the beginning of martial law. Metalpol is on strike. The communists intern attorney Franczuk, an advisor to the Solidarity movement. Szostak, who a few days ago was taken out of the plant on a wheelbarrow as a defector, wants to return to work. However, this proves to be a very difficult, not to say impossible, task.

Psychological drama; a retired sailor, after 40 years of absence, returns to his native village to spend the rest of his life there. After forty years of work at sea, Petty Officer Ignacy Krzeminski returns to his home village in the Suwałki region. The meeting with his former beloved, now a widow with four children, ends in a fiasco, nothing connects them anymore. Also coming into contact with relatives and former acquaintances make Ignacy realize that he is a stranger here.

A story about the inhabitants of Warsaw's Praga from the late 1970s. There are representatives of the social margin among them, but there are also a collector of works of art, an ex-peasant who keeps raising peacocks, an old woman collecting dolls. This extremely colorful company lives in old, demolished tenement houses.
