The Arkadians are a civilization that survived a great cataclysm and moved to the center of the earth, thriving under the power of their artificial sun, The Tehra, until one day it began to fail. They used their special powers and created a messenger to the people above, naming her Arkana. She meets up with Matt and Rebecca, two ordinary kids from the surface world, Bic and Bac, two strange anteaters from Arkadia, and Spartakus, a mysterious warrior. Together they search the worlds of the strata for a way to save a people and possibly the world.

Tintin finds himself involved in a mystery related to a drowned man, a can of crabmeat and a ship called Karaboudjan. After investigating the ship, Tintin discovers that the shipment of cans does not contain exactly crabmeat.

While on vacation in Egypt, Tintin encounters an eccentric archaeologist who believes to have found the whereabouts of Pharaoh Kih-Oskh's tomb. There Tintin finds a cigar marked with a strange emblem.

Tintin and his friends travel to Khemed, a Middle East nation, to help its ruler, Emir Mohammed ben Kalish Ezab, who gets into trouble when Bab El Ehr, an arms smuggler and terrorist, rises and takes over.

Tintin and Captain Haddock travel to Peru in search of an abducted friend.

A group of friends—Julien, Sophie, Gaspard, Caroline, and Victor—are planning a major mountaineering trip to climb the Tibetan peaks in July, under the supervision of their friend Sébastien, a medical student. Shortly before their departure, Sébastien breaks his leg and has to give up a summer job as an instructor at a thalassotherapy center in Le Touquet, which was meant to finance his studies. Victor then offers to replace him, and the others decide to go to Tibet anyway.

Tintin falls into a dangerous trap after his friends are falsely arrested in a troubled South American country where a revolution is about to explode.

Tintin and his friends get involved in an unexpected and weird adventure when they meet Laszlo Carreidas, an eccentric millionaire.
