Satybaldy Zhalelovich Narymbetov (Kazakh: Сатыбалды Жәлелұлы Нарымбетов; born 8 March 1946 - 8 July 2021; Achisai) was a Soviet and Kazakh film director and screenwriter. Honored Worker of Kazakhstan (2005). Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1996). Graduated from the script department of VGIK (1969); Higher courses of screenwriters and directors at the USSR State Cinema (workshop of the People's Artist of the USSR G. Danelia, 1984). Since 1973 he has been a member of the USSR Cinematographers' Union. He was a member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan. He died on July 8, 2021, and was buried at the Kensai-2 cemetery.
