Malhação is a Brazilian television series for the teenage audience. The soap started in 1995, and was set in a fictional Gym Club called Malhação on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the location varied slightly. Although the name of the soap remains the same, it is now set in the Múltipla Escolha High School.

In this coming- of-age series, five friends are reunited after six years without seeing each other. They are entering adulthood and dealing with conflicts of different natures, but common to a generation that is skeptical about the future, relationships and people. Amid reflection on the choices and the destiny they have decided upon for their lives, together they feel stronger to face what is to come.

After 20 years of marriage, Ana Lúcia and her husband Fábio decide to get a divorce. Fábio, however, decides to move to an apartment across the street, in front of the window of his former apartment - where Lúcia still lives. Both will have to learn how to deal with job crisis, problems with their daughter and this whole new situation.

From her point of view the trip is a complete failure. Liz comes back to Brazil distressed and obsessive. In the following years she develops an alimentary disorder which limits her life in all areas. How to overcome this tough reality?

The story tells of the parallel lives of two sisters: Erica, in São Paulo, and Laura, in Stockholm.
