The hamlet of Condor lies in the Puna grasslands of the northern highlands of Argentina, at some four thousand metres above sea level, close to the border with Bolivia. Here, a lama herder lives with his family. He and his son sell lama meat and wool in the closest city, which is still a long trip on foot and by bus. When the herd is threatened by a puma, the herder goes in search of the predator. According to local custom, he has to make an offering to the beast.

"Fish Also Jump" is a documentary that attempts to capture the public space of the Chacarita cemetery, its architecture, and the vastness of its 95 hectares dedicated to death. The film emphasizes the present, the stories experienced by the characters, their jobs, rituals, and their specific ways of dealing with the otherworld.

According to the 2010 census, San José de las Salinas, on the north of the Córdoba province, had 662 inhabitants. That sum no longer included Ramón Cáceres, who had died at the hands of his wife and brother-in-law five years before: the only crime in that town’s history. They had gotten married in secret when Cáceres was 77 and she was 33. The case was covered by the press (mainly because of the unbelievable part played by a donkey in its solving) and was later forgotten. But Distéfano didn’t. Crimen de Las Salinas transcends the news story and builds up, even though in the film it’s always daytime, the disturbing portrait of quite a few obscurities.

Three blind friends share their relationship with blindness and nature in the city of Mar de Plata. Pablo Martínez is competing in the upcoming World Adaptive Surfing Championships. Alejandro helps out at a rehabilitation center for ex-prisoners while training to become a mountaineer. Micaela sings karaoke on weekends. The documentary portrays blindness not as a disability, but as a trigger for other senses more closely linked to touch and hearing.
