Qiao, an 18-year-old boy, loses his voice while delivering a eulogy for his late father. He runs away from the funeral and hides from his family. Between past, present and future, the young man recalls his relationship with his brutal and secretive father, who left him a passion for boxing. Ten years later, now an engineer, Qiao develops an AI boxer to help people learn boxing. Training with the AI day by day, Qiao begins to see a ghost.​​

Marie, in her forties, lives in the Hautes-Alpes, cut off from her relatives. She only has her lover, Alex, a border policeman. Thanks to him, she smuggles cigarettes between Italy and France for her ' get out. On her way to France, she bumps into Mouneer, a 20-year-old Sudanese migrant, determined to join his little sister. He guesses her trafficking and persuades her to bring migrants across the border.

Having moved to Lyon for his studies, he is the victim of an administrative decision and lives under constant threat of deportation. In the hope of regularising his situation, he agrees to work for a Muslim funeral parlour. Between parties, encounters and his job, Sofiane finds himself on a journey of initiation that will lead him to build his own identity and gradually move towards adulthood.

Jane is a 23 year old dreamer with an urgent need to understand the world around her and her contentious and wildly comic relationship with the opposite sex. She longs to express her latent ambitions and to consummate, once and for all, her infatuation with an elusive young man who inspires her to live and die all at once. Solitary yet crowded by her imagination, as each day passes she must come to terms with the vertiginous reality of life as an independent adult living alone in the city.
