In 1980, a crack team of Taoists (garbed like ninjas!) successfully vanquish a mob of ghosts -- except for female demon Pinkish Red, who manages to escape. Six years later, Cici Shin (Charine Chan Kar-ling) and her cousin, Lily Li (Ann Bridgewater), open a boutique and need a mirror for their fitting room. The mall security guard finds one for them in the basement but, naturally, Pinkish Red resides inside it and, when Cici cleans the mirror’s surface, the ghost is able to enter back into the real world.

The whole story revolves around a woman from marriage, marriage to divorce encounter sexual problems as the main axis, reflecting the Taiwan society in this regard subjective and objective taboos. Cop Abula arrests a pregnant illegal immigrant, Xiao Qing, who came from mainland China to look for the father of her baby. Upon arrest, Xiao Qing gives birth to a baby girl in the police station, causing disorder in the place. Abula takes care of her and even helps to search for the father. On the other hand, Abula has to face other worries, like the problem between him and his son, Ah Yi. In addition, there is the Mafia who makes life difficult for Abula as he refuses to accept bribery. In the end, Abula resorts to the improper way of solving the problem, resulting in a hilarious ending to the story.

Hao-Yang is a young man that loves the sea and loves to surf, but just as his life was about to begin, he was diagnosed with a motor neuron disease that was from his father. After some time, his body will begin to paralyze part by part, not able to move or speak and eventually he will die. His brother refused to take the test and their single-parent mother still tries to find a cure for her boys. One day, Hao-Yang told his brother he wanted to see the ocean and begged his brother to take him surfing again. When Hao-Yang had finally fulfilled his wish and got on the surfboard, he disappeared in the ocean after a big wave.
