They start the project but he suddenly disappears and Mari is left feeling cast adrift. This is when she meets Fumiko, a free-spirited woman, who is searching for her beloved cat. Fumiko inspires Mari to change her life.
Mari’s Story

Kazuki (28), a novice novelist, is spending his summer vacation on his home island to write a new novel. By chance, Kazuki is put in charge of the pension where he is staying, and he meets two guests, Reiko (28) and Yuka (24). Kazuki sees in Reiko the image of a woman he used to date, and easily falls in love with her. One night over drinks, the three begin to clash greatly, triggered by Yuka's unrestrained behavior.
