After his mother's death, Oscar attends a Burning Man-inspired festival in the Swedish woods to reconnect with his emotions. Lost, naked, and injured, he embarks on a transformative journey back with the help of a Thai berry picker.

The two psychology students Sara and Simon believe they have identifed the reason behind the loneliness of modern western society. They conclude that the need for self-realization through consumption leaves people with a sense of meaninglessness. An experiment is initiated and they gather a group of young people in an isolated house in the countryside. During the stay in the house, Simon gradually becomes a sovereign leader. What started out as a field study gradually turns into something more similar to a cult.
