The film follows Karel Novák, who is appointed as the head of a research institute's new department. His ambitious wife, Eva, sees this as an opportunity for social advancement. She quits her job, turns their apartment into a hair salon, and begins networking with influential people. However, her efforts entangle Karel in a web of shady business dealings, including a dubious connection with a foreign company, Djungarden. As misunderstandings and comedic mishaps unfold, Karel finds himself in trouble with the police, while Eva struggles to maintain control over their chaotic rise in society.

Her mother dead, 18-year-old Vladka travels to a remote village in the dead of winter to find the father she has never met. The happiness of their initial meeting gives way to the daughter’s disappointment and concern over the hardworking man’s alcoholism.

Happiness is often found unexpectedly, so what? A lesbian couple raise their two children in perfect harmony when a man from the past intervenes. Violent psychopath demands the custody of his daughter, while his ex-wife suffers his terror. Two teenagers simply run away and a devout man does not have the strength to protect his love.

Attractive and ambitious Veronika 'Nika' Jirásková wants to succeed in a profession that is still almost exclusively the domain of men, even in these times of burgeoning emancipation - she wants to become a firefighter! Although she has been strongly warned by her friends and family that she has put up a really tough fight that she may not be able to win, Nika refuses to give up without a fight and decides to bravely face not only the negative reactions of some of her male colleagues, but also social conventions and especially the painful discovery of her own physical and psychological limits.

Director Tomáš Vorel created his experimental feature debut with members of renowned Prague non-traditional auteur theaters. The ensembles presented their own poetics and style through five "short stories" connected by satirical commentary by the "expert" Dr. Milan Šteindler, CSc.

A black comedy about suicides. Good old England, 1937—a spooky night scene on the moors, silhouettes of trees, the distant silhouette of a small castle reflected in the glistening water. Only the Hound of the Baskervilles is missing... we see only distant silhouettes of figures on a raft and have no idea where they are sailing.

A budding teacher comes from Prague to the South Bohemian district town where her fiancé Jakub, a young promising engineer at the local paper mill, lives. Petra is getting to know her new colleagues at school and the children in her new class, and is practicing hard with the Komenium music group, whose members she has known since her studies. She also gets to know Jakub's colleagues and the director of the paper mill, to whose position Jakub would like to be appointed after his retirement. It is this desire for a high position that leads Jakub to behave and act in a way that Petra cannot approve of.
