Biography
Yvan Serge Cournoyer (born November 22, 1943) was a Hall-of-Fame and all star hockey player with the Montreal Canadiens for 16 seasons, winning 10 Stanley Cup championships. Standing only 5' 7" the powerful Cournoyer was known as the "roadrunner" because he was one of the fastest players in the history of the NHL. He was also instrumental in helping Team Canada win the famed 1972 Summit Series against the Soviets.
