As experienced by 9 year old Angelita, the film portrays the hardship of migration endured by her family’s move from a small town in Puerto Rico to New York City’s Lower East Side.

A group of children camp in the yard of their grandmother's house in the outskirts of El Yunque. Plunged into a fantastic collective dream, the children get lost in El Yunque and experience the adventure of finding their way home, as they meet themselves and three magical characters who represent our cultural mix: an indian, a black freed slave, and a Spanish gentleman.

Politics is the Puerto Rican national sport, and in this sport anything is possible. Fate brings Pepo González, an ordinary, unemployed citizen, before an unscrupulous former political adviser. Her plan: to select a total stranger, without qualities or political lineage, and take the Capitol during one of the most important elections in the history of Puerto Rico. Will she be able to get Pepo a seat in the Senate?
