Echad Ha'am 101 tells the story of Miri Paskal, an edgy, a bit insane parking inspector in Tel Aviv. New comedy film inspired by the Israeli classic "Halfon Hill Doesn't Answer", released to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Somewhere in the Great Rift Valley stands a small, forgotten, and seemingly useless military base. When the Chinese government offers the state of Israel an enormous sum of cash to lay the path of their new Silk Road through it, all that seems to be done is to shut this base down. Ran Shem Tov, a "disassembly officer" who was deployed to command due to "military streamlining needs", is recruited for this mission. But the thing Ran and the heads of the IDF don't know is that an old bunker was built beneath the base, for which no one remembers the cause of construction. Lately, strange things have been happening in it, which delay the base's shutdown. These events bring all soldiers together against internal and external forces.
A Jewish Moroccan immigrant family living in Israel is nearly destroyed by conflicts resulting from generational differences in this arresting Israeli drama. It begins as Cheli, a successful but emotionally troubled talk show host who has been unable to deal with her traumatic childhood is traveling to attend her father's funeral. She is accompanied by her mentally ill sister Pnina and her adopted estranged daughter. It is a hellish trip and as they travel, flashbacks chronicle their painful youth. Rachel had always wanted to break away from her family's Moroccan heritage and so spent much time trying make herself fit in with her Israeli peers. She was humiliated by her poor, ignorant family. Her father was an overbearing, blindly religious fanatic and their mother was a witch who manipulated the family by casting spells. She feared her mother, and despised her insane sister, to whom she was very cruel.
A Science for Children
Amir is traveling through his own dream, meeting a species of creatures called the Moonchkins. He befriends a female Moonchkin called Ding-Ding, and together they work to celebrate his half-birthday, trying to get away from the schemes of our antagonists.
