Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani... Jhansi Ki Rani is an Indian historical drama based on the life of Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi, one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The series was directed by Jitendra Srivastava and written by Rajesh Saksham, Ila Dutta Bedi, Malavika Asthana and Mairaj Zaidi. It premiered on 18 August 2009 on Zee TV with Ulka Gupta playing Queen Lakshmi Bai. On 8 June 2010 the story moved on several years and Kratika Sengar portrayed the Queen from there on. The show's last episode went to air on 19 June 2011.

Gajendra Singh lives a wealthy lifestyle in a village in India. He has never attended school and as a result does not know how to read or write in Hindi nor English. His marriage is arranged with equally wealthy Janki, the sister of Thakur Diwan and Ranjit Singh. On Hanuman Jayanti they get married but Janki is not happy and decides to leave her husband. Gajendra searches for her but when he hears that she is dead, decides to seal the Hanuman Mandir doors and remain single.
Baba puts an evil spirit in Shabnam body and Shabnam kills a village man in the Jungle. When Thakur Mahendra Pratap comes to know about this from his brother Vijay, he takes job of finding that evil. He goes in Jungle and finds Shabnam and brings her to the village and villagers hang her till death. Day-by-day villagers find dead bodies in the village and Gullu suspects Karishma. After some years Sonam comes to haveli with Rahul and her mama and at the same time a doctor is murdered by Karishma. Another day Gullu was also killed. Rahul suspect on Baba and they follow Baba. Baba traps them and there they come to know Vijay is alive.
