Armchair Theatre is a British television drama anthology series of single plays that ran on the ITV network from 1956 to 1974. It was originally produced by Associated British Corporation, and later by Thames Television from mid-1968.

Fortunato is a loser, a family man, who has lost his job and tries his luck in all the trades he finds. However, it seems that his name —that means “fortunate” in English— is not in line with his situation, since, no matter how hard he tries, fortune does not want to smile at him.

Malvaloca, dancer and singer, go to Las Canteras when she finds out that Salvador, her exboyfriend has been hurt. Salvador's college, Leonardo, goes with her and falls in love. They start a relation.

Adapted from a comedy of the brothers Alvarez Quintero, raised in a spirit rather routine and a remarkable lack of imagination. The minor nature of the adapted work greatly limited their chances, but there was no resolution film the slightest hint of creativity, merely a recreation under the sign of awkwardness.

Mariquilla lives with his uncle in the village of Las Canteras, where she is beloved for his grace and cheerful nature. Her uncle wants her to debut in the theater, but her nervousness and shyness make her performance not a success.

During the April Fair in Seville neighborhood of Santa Cruz, Antonio, in love with Coral, will meet Esteban, her boyfriend. The end result is that Antonio is hurt and Esteban goes to prison. To avoid gossip, Coral asks his brother of moving. Cotufo agrees and the two move to a mansion in which, according to legend, lived a Christian and the daughter of a Moorish king, who died of grief of love.
