Sixteen-year-old Shaï, Djeneba, Aladi, and Ismaël grew up between the four towers of Place des Fêtes, a working-class neighborhood in Paris. Together, they let the hours slip by, joke around, and play their favorite game: "Would You Rather."

Paris, a working-class neighborhood in the 19th arrondissement. Shaï and Djeneba are 19 years old and have been friends since childhood. One is burdened by an overbearing family. The other by deep loneliness. Over the course of a summer, they work as counselors at a summer camp, far from the tower blocks where they grew up—no longer quite children, yet officially responsible for a group of kids aged 6 to 10. On the cusp of adulthood, they will have to make choices to grow up and reinvent their friendship.

The story centres on a group of teenagers street cast in their neighbourhood and selected to play in a feature film during the summer. The film tells the story of this film shoot and of the connections that will be formed during it.

Whether it's a once in a lifetime television audition or a gruelling boxing competition, for these young women the chance to shine is sometimes worth the risk.

Angélique, 13, the eldest of her many brothers and sisters, lives in the suburb of Valenciennes. This day, at school, she is offered to pass an audition for a film.
