Biography
Pau Faus is a documentary filmmaker and visual artist. His work is based on activating mechanisms of representation and/or interaction to make emerge the particularities and conflicts of the environment he chose to narrate. Trained architect. He taught at the University of Architecture of Vallès (UPC) and was part of the urban exploration collective ‘Osservatorio Nomade’. He is the author of the books La Ciudad Jubilada (‘The Retired City’), Figueres-Paris: 5 hours 30 minutes and co-author of Co-Habitaciones. Patrimonio, taxidermia y autoconstrucción en Valparaíso (Co-Dwellings. Heritage, taxidermy and DIY in Valparaiso’). As a documentary filmmaker he’s directed the films Sí se puede. Seven days at PAH Barcelona (2014) and Alcaldessa (Mayoress) (2016).
