Rianti, a young painter, shuts out the outside world in her daily life, including the sincere attention given by Wisnu, a curator who always helps to sell Rianti’s paintings. "Jakarta Cinderella", a musical performance, is performed by three main actors. Indah plays Jutek, the step-sister, Bunga plays Upik Abu, with Ronald as the Prince. The story begins when Lupus moved to new high school "Merah Putih". There he met with Poppy (Acha Septriasa) and immediately fell in love with the girl. But Poppie've got another lover, Daniel (Kevin Julio). At the new school, Lupus meet unique new friends, like Gusur(Jeremy Christian), strange artist who has aspirations to buy a house for his grandpa who had been living in with my sister-in-law. While Poppy busy with his business, Lupus and his companions planned to join the race "go green" that held the Ministry despite opposition by the high school Principal.

Lupus is a student journalist of the Merah-Putih High School. He is cool and playful and disturbs everyone including his friends, his mother, his sister, his principal and even those whom he has just met. Occasionally, there are good intentions hidden in his jokes. These traits are representative of the attitude of youths in the 80's. In this film, his relationship with Poppy, is the only narrative thread in a plot that otherwise goes nowhere.

Lupus (Ryan Hidayat) falls in love with Kunti (Conny Nurlita), the daughter of Mr. Galiman (Tile). Mr. Galiman himself is a widower who is looking for a replacement wife because he considers Kunti to be grown up. To make Mr. Galiman's intentions a success, Uncle Agus (Anwar Fuady) helps find a new mother for Kunti. He approaches Lupus' mother (Tatiek Wardiono) who is a widow, making Lupus' sister, Lulu (Firdha Razak) hate the man. When Lupus calls Kunti's house, it is discovered that Mr. Galiman is looking for a wife with the help of Uncle Agus. It turns out that what Uncle Agus offers to Mr. Galiman is not Lupus' mother, but Lulu. So, Lupus and Kunti try to make everyone aware so that Mr. Galiman's proposal to Lulu does not happen.

This time Lupus is played by the author Hilman himself. Still depicting the world of teenagers at school, home and also his relationship with Poppy (Ita Purnamasari). Everything is cheerful, a little wild but still under control. Lupus himself is not clear what he is doing, except busy taking care of his chickens. Suddenly near the end of the film, Lupus is good at giving speeches about many things including democracy and social justice.

When Rezky, a reporter, is late for work, he is reprimanded so terribly that he decides to find a flat near the office so he won't be late again. Then Rezky meets Wisnu, a photographer, in the same taxi when both are house hunting. They are interested in Aunt Ria's apartment but as it is only for girls, they pretend to be a gay couple. Their suffering increases when they meet Bella, Aunt Ria's pretty niece, and they start competing with each other until they realize that they should leave Bella to be happy with Ryan, her boyfriend.
