Alma de Hierro is a 2008–2009 Mexican telenovela produced by Televisa. It is a remake of the Argentinian soap opera Son de Fierro, with the character's names rewritten and adapted to the Mexican audience. The main actors were Blanca Guerra, Alejandro Camacho, Christian Vega, Flavio Medina, Lisardo and Alejandra Barros, with Jorge Poza, Zuria Vega, Adamari López, Angelique Boyer, Eddy Vilard, Martha Julia and Luz María Aguilar playing supporting roles. The show earned 8 awards at the "TV y Novelas" award celebration, becoming the highest-awarded production of the 2009 season.

Mar de Amor is a Spanish-language telenovela produced by Nathalie Lartilleux with protagonists Zuria Vega, Mario Cimarro and Mariana Seoane and antagonists Ninel Conde, Marcelo Córdoba and Manuel Landeta. This is a remake of the 1978 Venezuelan telenovela María del Mar.

Rafaela is a Mexican telenovela produced by Nathalie Lartilleux for Televisa. It is based on the Venezuelan telenovela of the same name produced in 1977. Scarlet Ortiz and Jorge Poza star as the main protagonists, while Chantal Andere, Diana Bracho and Arturo Carmona star as the main antagonists. Though Rafaela was nominated for best female antagonist, best first actor, and best first actress, it did not win any awards. Canal de las Estrellas originally broadcast Rafaela at 5pm MDT from January 31 to March 11, 2011. From March 14 to July 15, 2011, it was moved to 4PM MDT. From June 20 to August 5, 2011, Univision transmitted Rafaela weekdays at 1pm central for 2 hours, replacing Niña de mi Corazón. From August 8, 2011 to October 14, 2011, one episode was shown weekdays at 1pm central.

It's a starry night in a poor neighborhood in Latin America. Óscar is sleeping in his room when a sudden wind wakes him up. From his window he sees a little goldfish in a dirty puddle gasping for air. Óscar will try to save the goldfish through a rampant adventure full of mysterious challenges.
