Marmadesam, meaning "Land of Mystery" in Tamil, is a television series directed by Naga. The series was telecast between 1997 and 2001 and was very successful.

After a fight with her father on who her future husband should be, Nalina leaves home on the first night of Navaratri. For the next nine days, she experiences nine types of human behaviour.

The mysterious story revolves around the cult of Karuppu Swami, along with the odd and strange deaths of people - one followed by another, and events unfolding in the village of Thottakaramangalam.

King Rajendra Varman and Queen Mrinalini are reigning the Vyjayanti empire. Mahendra Varman is the rival and the neighbouring king. Kannika is the minister’s daughter, who is in love with King Rajendra Varman and aims to attain him at any cost. This convoluted tale of palace intrigue, suspicion, unreciprocated love, seduction, villainy and piety was interspersed with excellent music.

Paalum Pazhamum is a 1961 Tamil-language film directed by A. Bhimsingh and featuring Sivaji Ganesan, B. Saroja Devi, Sowcar Janaki and others. Sivaji is a doctor searching for a cancer cure. Saroja Devi is Sivaji's nurse assistant. Sivaji offers to marry her after her father's death. Saroja Devi assists him in his research. After putting in enormous efforts, Sivaji emerges successful in formulating a new drug but Saroja Devi is diagnosed with tuberculosis. Sivaji neglects his duties as a doctor and starts focusing more on Saroja Devi's health. Saroja Devi flees on a train as she does not wish to divert him from his research.

Vasanthan (S. S. Rajendran) goes to America for higher studies. During his absence, his widowed mother Karpagam (C. T. Rajakantham) manages their glass factory at Salem with help of manager Balu (T. K. Ramachandran), who has a relationship with Vasanthan's niece Kokilam (M. N. Rajam). Since Vasnthan's mother does not understand the factory's working and management, Balu brings everything under his control and swindles the company by various means.

A fake Godman lusts after a pious courtesan. How her devotion to God transforms both of them forms the rest of the story

Shekar, a rich young man, discovers that his cousins, Gowri and Sundar, are finding it difficult to lead a comfortable life. He decides to help them against his father's wishes.
