Biography
Kilbourne was only eighteen when she has appeared in television for the first time. It was March 1983, when she guest appeared in one of the Matt Houston (1982) episodes. She reprised that role once again, next year (it's unknown if she has done some commercials earlier or not). In the same year she played in the TV movie Calendar Girl Murders (1984). But currently, her most popular was her her next role, which was Constance Flynn/Hazard from the "North and South" trilogy. In 1985, she met her future husband James Read. It was on the set of North and South (1985). They played a married couple. They continued their affair during making North and South, Book II (1986) and finally got married two years later. They live in California and have at least one son; Jackson (born 1991). They remain in touch with other co-stars from "North and South" - Genie Francis and Jonathan Frakes (also married). Since "North and South" times Kilbourne has played in plenty of TV movies and a couple of TV series. None of them, though, has allowed her to become a big Hollywood star.

Hotel is an American prime time drama series which aired on ABC from September 21, 1983 to May 5, 1988 in the timeslot following Dynasty. Based on Arthur Hailey's 1965 novel of the same name, the series was produced by Aaron Spelling and set in the elegant and fictitious St. Gregory Hotel in San Francisco. Establishing shots of the hotel were filmed in front of The Fairmont San Francisco atop the Nob Hill neighborhood. Episodes followed the activities of passing guests, as well as the personal and professional lives of the hotel staff.

Nothing in Common was a 1987 television series on NBC starred Todd Waring in the role of David Basner and Bill Macy in the role of Max Basner. Seven episodes were broadcast immediately after the highly-rated series Cheers but didn't pick enough audiences. The short-lived series was cancelled because of low turnout. The series was inspired by the 1986 film by Garry Marshall starring Tom Hanks and Jackie Gleason also entitled Nothing in Common in which Hanks played David Basner and Gleason protrayed Max Basner. Todd Waring later reprised another Tom Hanks role in a TV sequel to Splash for The Wonderful World of Disney called Splash, Too.
