Tinu Suresh Desai was born in Mumbai Maharashtra, India. His birth name is Dharmendra. Coming from a Gujarati-speaking family, he is a Writer and Director, the son of well-known production manager Suresh Desai, Sholay, Shaan, Seeta and Geeta, Andaz, Sagar, Saheb, Zamaana Deewana, and many more film. Tinu Desai started his career in the film industry in 1997 working as Assistant Director, then Chief Assistant, Associate Director, and as a debut directorial film 1920 London. Tinu Desai is known For the Award-winning film Rustom 2016. In 2016, he was felicitated with the Star Screen Award for "Most Promising Debut Director" for Rustom and ETC Bollywood Business Award 2016. Akshay Kumar got his 1st national Award for Rustom.
