In the seventeenth century, Robinson Crusoe is shipwrecked on a desert island and is the only survivor. He takes steps to get food and shelter, hoping one day to be rescued. One day a band of black men arrive by boat and are about to execute one of their number; Crusoe saves him and drives them off, and names the man Friday, and teaches him Crusoe's on language. They survive together, but will they ever be rescued?

Makar has spent years overseeing work at a collective farm. After he is asked to retire, it is time for Makar's son to take the reins. Yet the farm workers' hopes are soon dashed, and it is up to Makar to right the ship.

Fyodor, who miraculously survived, gets to the homeland. And after the war, chance again brings him together with Olga, when the hero with severe burns after an accident falls into the hospital...

It was the last days of June 1942. The fascist troops were tearing towards Sevastopol, and fighting was already going on in the city itself. Ships of the Black Sea Fleet had already broken through to Sevastopol more than once, delivering replenishment, ammunition and weapons. And now, destroyers "Daring" and "Stremitelny" receive a new order to go to Sevastopol. This way is known to sailors well enough, but the fascists repeatedly mined the only fairway to Sevastopol, and enemy aircraft constantly attacking destroyers. At the cost of losing the "Daring" sailors manage to break through to Sevastopol. But the hardest tests fall to the sailors on the way back, when overloaded with wounded "Stremitelny" returns to his native port.

The events take place in one of the mines of Kryvyi Rih. Peter Chumak, after graduating from the institute, is appointed chief engineer of the mine. From the very first days of work Chumak initiates innovative methods of coal mining. The most fierce opponent of his proposals - engineer Alexei Zheleznyak. The confrontation of young specialists is complicated by the fact that Zheleznyak is the brother-in-law of Pyotr's wife.

In a mountain village in Transcarpathia lives the family of a carpenter Mykhailo Tsar. They are respected everywhere, and the head of the family is very proud of it. Suddenly the son Oleksa fell in love with the paramedic Nadya, although he has a wife and Nadya has a child. Father and brothers force Oleksa to leave his mistress.

Lieutenant Marchenko is sent to the Nazi-occupied city to pass a purse with fuses to the underground scouts through the liaison. The password song helps the scouts to find each other. "Song about the mother." Working in distant Africa, pilots Igor and Victor once recorded on a tape recorder a song about his mother. Soon Igor dies during an epidemic. And Victor, in memory of his friend, gives his mother the tape they recorded. "Song at Dawn". Student Sergei dedicated to his favorite girl Valya composed by him "Song at Dawn". Valya then did not understand Sergei's feelings and married his friend. Sergei leaves. Years pass. Valya's personal life did not go well. And now she often remembers Sergei's sweet song.
