A motley of vacationers on a bus headed for a week long vacation at a seaside resort. Among them: a single, moderately famous singer; a nerdy, onanistic man; a couple of old ladies reaching senility; a couple of young gals looking for an amorous adventure; a family with a boy unsure about where he fits sexually; a beautiful woman that, besides working as a trip guide, has pretensions of being a music composer; a couple of gay men; and another family where the parents are stuck in a sexual ice age while their twentyish daughter is looking to connect with a man.

Anna spends every summer with her husband in a neighborhood a few dozen kilometers outside Prague. They've been together for ages, so their marriage, as is so often the case, has become routine and stereotyped. For a long time, the man has divided his time fairly between drinking with friends in the pub and making ship models of matches in bottles; His wife is virtually invisible to him. In 1967, both participated in the Miss Czechoslovakia competition, but only one won and the other could not bear the defeat. Since then these two ladies, by now already of certain age, have had a brush with one another and have done spiteful things to each other. And they have been vying with each other in finding a new Eva Herzigová so that they could make a long nose at the other from international fashion catwalks. When beautiful young Martina appears, whose beauty literally takes everyone's breath away, they start fighting to get her into their "barn". Who will win? Is this fight going to deepen their rivalry? Or are these two quarreling "grandmothers" going finally to bury the hatchet and to renew their friendship?

It would never occur to a confident and proud ruler that someone somewhere is counting his misdeeds and that punishment will soon follow. Only when he becomes an exile and has to live like an ordinary person and work does he find a new approach to life and ultimately become a wise and just ruler.

Between waking up in the morning and falling asleep at night, she brings fragments of her beloved man's life experiences to life in her memories. It is a drama of emotions that draws her into its trap. Fibich left the safe haven of his family for her love, seeking inspiration in passion and eroticism. This clearly tense human situation is complicated by Anežka's rival and Fibich's wife Betty.

Two mischievous siblings, Klotylda and Barnabáš, fail their final exams at the wizardly lyceum. In their father Zachariáš’s absence, they break the strict rule and open the forbidden thirteenth chamber, accidentally freeing the evil sorcerer Vzdoroděj. He enchants all the adults and sets off to find a powerful gemstone that will destroy their father and conquer the realm. Hiding with their stern Aunt Berta, the children must manage the household while improving their magical skills and learning to cooperate. When Berta’s rescue plan falters and Vzdoroděj approaches, Klotylda and Barnabáš face him alone.
