“Magic Kimono” tells the story of middle-aged Japanese woman Keiko, who has been living in a shell for decades due to a family tragedy in Kobe. The modest act of eating and the sensations it gives us provided Keiko a lifeline to survive. Unwillingly, she joins a group of Japanese women traveling to Northern Europe to participate in a kimono show in the fairytale-like art nouveau world of Riga. During her performance, Keiko suddenly comes face to face with her husband, who disappeared twenty years ago and now wants to read-dress their relationship and who Keiko has become.

His neighbor, policeman Jēkabs, has been blackmailed throughout the year, but this time, by help of his new friend Anna, he returns to the “crime scene” to redeem his reputation. Innocent drive to the shop turns into a kaleidoscope of events and surprises jeopardising a family gathering.

In 1873, brave men known as the New Latvians held the first-ever Latvian song festival under the watchful eye of oppressive censorship. This massive celebration, featuring 1,003 singers – both men and women – changed the course of the nation’s history. It stands as a unique example of non-violent resistance in the fight for freedom against imperialism, led by Latvia’s entrepreneurs, writers, publicists and ordinary villagers.

New Year's Eve. Taxi driver Andrejs (Lauris Reiniks) has almost finished his shift, when suddenly a forgotten present makes him recall the curious collection of that night’s passengers - a rowdy couple, a tired Santa, noisy mummers, a worried groom, and even a pregnant woman about to have her baby. Andrejs will play a role in each passenger’s story, but will he get to experience his own New Year's miracle?

Should I say - "I do"? Break up? Postpone the wedding? Reconcile? ...? A modern story of relationship, friendship, and love, in which money also plays a big role.

Romeo n’ Juliet depicts the contemporary love story of a young Latvian girl, Juliet, and a Russian guy, Romeo. Juliet aimlessly spends tiresome days in Jūrmala; all she has to look forward to is leaving for England with her best friend in search of a better life. Romeo also wants to live for something and dreams of a hip-hop musician’s life in Russia. After Romeo sees Juliet for the first time and falls in love, their dreams and hopes for a better future collapse in a matter of days.

How does it feel to be old? The characters in this film have passed their 80th birthdays, but their age doesn’t define them. Instead, they are defined by their attitude towards life and aging. Still very positive, active and with sharp minds, four inspiring seniors from Latvia continue doing things that excite them despite the physical and other challenges that accompany their years.
