Stopped by a police officer for a traffic violation, Bilel, a man in his thirties, finds himself in a situation where money is his only salvation. But the resulting psychological pressure he experiences leads him into an unexpected state of combativeness.

Gadeha (12) happens one day to be the victim of a car accident. He undergoes surgery. Penniless, his mother, Borkana, is helped by Malika and Moez, a benevolent couple that offers to pay for the hospital fees and provides the destitute family with a roof. Gadeha meets Oussama, Malika and Moez’s child (11) who is recovering from a kidney transplant. A strong friendship is made between the two boys. But Gadeha finds out haphazardly the secret of his family’s new standard of living. He is devastated.

Nine-year-old Nader loves to run, as if he wants to defy gravity. While shopping for Eid clothes with his parents, he sets his heart on a pair of expensive shoes beyond what his father can afford.

A six-year-old child belonging to a family of peasants, vine growers and dairy farmers, who after a rather ordinary meeting with a man, will see his daily life fall squarely into a species. of "wonder Land" which has been totally reinvented any dimension of time and space, in which the child will venture in search of a harvest of a new type, that of being able to cultivate money, obeying a intimate conviction that only children whose dreams are crazy enough and impertinent can afford.

In Tunis, a decade after the revolution, two families’ daily lives contrast between relative comfort and quiet simplicity. Amid boredom, silent fears, and social pressures, children and adolescents develop an irresistible desire to leave the country.
