This is a film about the movie industry, about favors, hooking up etc. It is mostly set in Copenhagen and the story begins with the son of a big producer going to Copenhagen from Hong Kong trying to seal a deal. He gets involved with the Denmark girls.

Dealt a further blow by the death of the youngest daughter and the pressures from the loan sharks, Chan contemplates killing himself and his family but changes his mind when he witnesses the sacrifices made by other parents for their children. He vows to be a dutiful father and tries his best to overcome their adversities. His novel is finally published and sells well. Through thick and thin, the family at last sees the light at the end of the tunnel.

Tina Ti leads a star-studded cast in this hilarious farce as a pickpocket who, while fleeing the police, stumbles into an apartment occupied by seven single men. All hungry for a woman's affection, the men agree to take her in. However, what she doesn't know is that each of the men is coming up with ridiculous ways to have their way with her. A surreal comedy about sexual repression and sexual fantasies, the film mocks the desperate measures people take in the name of sexual gratification. Even though it is an erotic comedy at heart, it is never lewd or exploitative. In fact, like other Cantonese films at the time, the story even ends on a moralistic note as Tam Bing-man's character convinces the pickpocket to turn herself in and mend her ways.
Working as a telephone operator on the nightshift, David Lau received some calls from a woman for a David and agrees to a blind date. Wearing a violet on his lapel, David mistakes someone else for his date. Jennie Lee, a stranger, comes calling at the hotel, addressing a bewildered David with an intimacy that is familiar and awkward. Five years ago, when Jennie was having a heart-to-heart talk with her fiance David Wong on the beach, her neglected brother ran off to the sea and drowned himself. Suffering from a nervous breakdown ever since, Jennie was devasted by the departure of her fiance to America. The hopes Jennie's parents are pinning on the new David to boost their daughter's recovery are merely wishes.
Gangster Pang Tin-tak runs an underground casino operated under the guise of the Blue Nightclub. The fearless and cagey Fung Kim-ching and the adept professional To Yuet-hung strut their stuff on the poker table and catch the eye of the boss. Enlisted as his trusted aide, To the undercover officer carefully cloaks her identity to conduct a criminal investigation but has to stop in the light of Pang’s growing suspicion. The raid led by Detective Chan is successfully foiled by the sly gangster, who unmasks the spy and holds her captive together with Chan. Fung frees the captives before he joins Pang for his transactions by the sea. Pointing a pistol at the gangster, Fung identifies himself as the leader of the Interpol anti-drugs squad as the gang members are handcuffed and led away by To and her team.
A group of down-on-their-luck robbers pull off a spectacular job - only to find themselves hunted by cops and possible betrayers! Chan Koon Tai leads the diverse pack of criminals, which also includes such Shaw Brothers luminaries as Ngok Wah, Chung Wong, Ling Yun, and a young Danny Lee in one of his first featured roles. The group pulls off the robbery in action-packed fashion, but betrayal and the relentless police end up marking the five robbers for death.
A bittersweet comedy about a simple hick who arrives in the big city to seek his fortune, "The Crazy Bumpkins" is about Ah Niu, who leaves his native village to live with an uncle in Hong Kong, not realizing he is a crook. After taking on a hilarious series of illegal jobs with his uncle, he meets and falls for a single mother and decides to find some real work. However, bad luck and naivete soon conspire to keep him from true happiness.
