Class differences and a childhood dream are the highlights of "A Patota". Juliana, Vicente, Pedro, and Tião are children who live in a village where the poor and the rich coexist. His world will be thrown upside down, when an evil pirate (Perna de Pau) disembark on the island, after kidnapping the little girl Maribel (daughter of a famous captain), in search of Captain's hidden treasure. In this celebration of his poetry and sensual vision, elderly residents of Rio read his poems and comment on their graphic, voluptuous imagery with tremendous candor and enthusiasm.
