Biography
Thyra Elin Johanna Ringbom, born July 12, 1948, in Helsinki, is a Finnish actress. Ringbom studied from 1969–1973 at the Swedish Theatre School in Helsinki and also studied singing and musical theater with Gisela May. She was engaged in 1974–1981 and 1983–1990 at the Swedish Theatre in Helsinki, 1981–1983 at the Little Theatre there, and 1990–2004 at the Turku Swedish Theatre. She has played temperamental and strong roles such as Maggie in The August Dance, Kate in Kiss Me Kate, the neurotic Phyllis in Fat Men in Skirts, and Maureen in The Queen of Leenane. She appeared in the TV series Day of Wrath (1991) and Thicker than Water (2014). Ringbom has performed as a vocal artist both on stage and in personal song programs. She has been active in the Swedish Actors' Association of Finland as vice president from 1975–1976 and board member from 1981–1983.

The beautiful island of Sunnanö in the Swedish archipelago is home to a popular B&B run by Anna-Lisa and her son Oskar.
