On vacation in Stockholm, a teenage daughter is left wandering the city alone when her mother suffers from a sudden mental breakdown. Coming of age becomes an equally sudden necessity.

Hypnotherapist Kate lives with her husband, Orla, and their daughter, Athena, while simultaneously maintaining a deeply romantic – and highly secret – relationship with Andreas. As a role model to her daughter, she struggles to navigate her existential quest – a journey filled with body fluids, intimacy, Greek mythology, laughter, madness, and clumsiness.

The film is built on conversations between me (the director) and God (my psychotic mum), whose face we never see in the film.
