Biography
I have been working as a freelance screenwriter, editor and dramaturge since 2008. As a dramaturge, I was responsible for the series Wild Republic produced by X- Filme/Lailaps in 2020 for MagentaTV, WDR, SWR, ARTE and ONE. For Leonine Studios I created a 120-minute edited version of Der Seewolf (1971), which was broadcast on ZDF in 2022. For Mack Animation and I wrote the script for the 5D animated film Kaka's Magic Circus, which has been playing at Chimelong amusement parks since 2023. I still regularly write screenplays for various broadcasters and distributors (including Pro7/Sat.1 and Wild Bunch Germany). From 2022 to 2023 I also worked for All3Mdia Deutschland Fiction as a Development Executive.
Known For
Follow South Africa’s first forensic and investigative psychologist, Micki Pistorius (played by Charlotte Hope), as she studies the minds of South Africa's serial killers. Catch Me A Killer is an adaptation of Micki's autobiography that details her work as the first female criminal profiler in the country, which is brought to life as the events are depicted in the series.
Catch Me a Killer
In the midst of the impassable landscape at the foot of the Alps, a young group of serious offenders is undergoing an experiential educational program intended to rehabilitate them. All of a sudden, a member of the program dies a violent death. Nobody knows exactly what happened, and the youths face a difficult decision. Should they wait for the authorities to recover the body and investigate the crime? Or, escape and take their fate into their own hands? The group doesn't have much in common with each other, though one thing unites them; all of them have had really bad experiences with the authorities and don‘t expect to be treated fairly. Since they don't know who the perpetrator is, they only have one option: to run. Up the mountains, up the highest peaks of the Alps. It seems hopeless until they stumble onto a complex cave system where they can find shelter from wind, weather, and their pursuers.

The entrance to the cave system, however, lies right within the restricted area of a U.S. military base.. the first of many problems Markus and Thomas will have to face.
