Barry Hearn OBE (born 19 June 1948) is an English sporting events promoter and the founder and President of promotions company Matchroom Sport. Through Matchroom, Hearn is also involved in many sports including snooker, darts, pool, tenpin bowling, golf (see PGA EuroPro Tour), table tennis and fishing. Hearn was the chairman of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), and was also until July 2010 chairman of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA). After health problems, the multimillionaire retired from most of his functions and offices in April and May 2021, most of which his son Eddie Hearn took over. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
