The series is about police investigators in Greenland police and the assignments they receive. Every day they face new challenges that affect them differently. These consist of inspector Jan Erik Holm, Hassan Mohammed Arif Osman, Trond Olsen and Holms ex-wife Cecilie Melvold. The series paints a somewhat grim picture of Oslo, it is a place where no one is safe, where nobody is above threats and blackmail. Even policemen are subjected to harassment.

Norwegian engineers are searching for oil and Egon Olsen convinces his friends to buy stocks in the oil market. In the process, Egon, stumbles upon a scheme to fool the Norwegian Government that there is indeed no traces of oil in the North Sea. The Olsen Gang tries to tell the ministry the truth about the oil but they are caught by Sheik El-Altan who, in order to make sure the boys keep their mouths shut, kidnaps Valborg and brings her to Egypt.

It depicted the children's relationship to the war 1940-1945. Rolf Riktor's father was arrested and sent to the prison camp Grini and his mother travel to Oslo to look for him and get the opportunity to visit him at Grini. The children however do not get an opportunity to visit the prisoners.

A man carries his wife down into the freezer in the basement. It is the painter Alex, who has killed his wife Christina. Helen is on the run from her impending silver wedding anniversary. She collapses onto the sofa at Alex's house, on his peaceful little farm, far away from people. Here, all you can hear is the faint thumping of a fishing boat on the fjord and the sound of a freezer starting and stopping at regular intervals.

Three cheers!” Life in this part of the country is totally dependent on nature. Winter storms, cold polar nights, the midnight sun and warm summer days. Communities that rebuilt themselves after being totally destroyed during World War II. You can take part in all of this and experience life at the North Cape, the northern outpost of Europe.
