Biography

Nicholas M. Garofolo is an Award-winning New York City actor and was born in the Bronx, New York. Nicholas had the lead role in "Twenty Twenty" which won " Best Psychedelic Fantasy Short Film " at Retro Avant Garde Film Festival (2020) and Best Horror/Thriller at the Golden Wheat Awards Festival (2022). Twenty Twenty has screened at the Buenos Aires International Film Festival, Andromeda Film Festival and the AfterLife Film Festival. The follow up to "Twenty Twenty", "Blood Fear" screened at The Hollywood Monthly Film Festival (Nominee for Best Sci-Fi Film) and at the Focus International Film Festival (Ruby Award Winner). The follow up to "Blood Fear", "Feeding On The Living" won best Sci-Film at The Hollywood Monthly Film Festival. These three films have become chapters in the feature film titled "Crime Traveler: The Adventures of Dave Slade. This film is available on Tubi, Plex, Fawesome TV, Troma, Cineverse and Prime Video. Nicholas had the male lead role in "The Immigrant" which in 2021 has screened at the Boden International, Paris International and the Golden Short Film Festivals. Nicholas had a lead role in "Bobo Touch Helpline - The Kisser" (Improv comedy) that screened at the Manhattan Film Festival in April 2019, Festival of Cinema NYC in August 2019 and Coney Island Film Festival September 2019. He wrote "Raw Sewage" which screened at the NY Underground Comedy Festival in May 2020 and then the Couch Film Festival in February 2021. Nicholas is second generation American and is of Italian and Irish decent. He studied acting with Master Teacher Gene Frankel at the Gene Frankel Theatre in New York City and with Peter Miner, who directed One Life to Live. Nicholas has played dramatic and comedic roles in feature films and on television. The roles he has played include a detective, mobster, street thug, con man, doctor and lawyer. Nicholas has also performed sketch comedy at the Player's Club and the Broadway Comedy Club, "A Sketch Of New York" at the Producers Club, Groundworks Theatre in New York City and improvisation at the Vino Theater in Brooklyn, NY. Nicholas has three college degrees.

His Landlord, Mary Lee, (Rosie Xu) is a positive presence who helps him waddle through the murky waters of his polluted mind as Old Man (Dave Sweeney) mysteriously guides him to his destiny. Blood Fear

Blood Fear picks up 2 years after "2020" ends. Dave Slade (Nicholas M. Garofolo) had walked off into the Coney Island, NY sunset with his soon to be bride and landlord, Mary Lee. Now all is awry. Unfortunately, the young lass did die at the hands of the same forces who tried to take Slade down in 2020. But instead of Terranova there is now Krasota (Karoline Fischer), a blonde bronze babe back to the future. Slade must now navigate his way with this new foe or as Old Man (Dave Sweeney) thinks she's a hoe. Slade and his ex-CIA cohort must now figure out the way out of this new challenge to make things right for themselves and the world at hand. Past, Present and Future. Blood spills and there are many thrills and chills. Tune in but don't tune out. The 1960's sensibilities live with the life and times of Dave Slade.

Slade must navigate through the dark night on Coney Island as the vampires come out to feed including Alvara and her unwanted controlling Silas (Warren Chao). A Nigerian single-mother living in America receives a revelation from her Pastor in Nigeria that her loving son Segun, a Doctor will father twin boys but in order for the revelation to come to fruition Segun must find a wife immediately. Feeling pressured by his Mother, Segun introduces different women to his mother, however, none are welcomed by her. On the other side of the grass, a Caribbean girl called Antoinette migrates to America to live with her African-American mother to pursue a career in acting. Antoinette's mother desperately wants her to find a boyfriend but warns her to never ever date a Nigerian. The two worlds collide when Segun falls head over heels for Antoinette; he asks her to pretend to be a Nigerian so that his mother would like her but through a series of events both families discover that they are closer than they imagined.
